Would leave 0 stars if possible. We made a reservation and paid half over the phone for two hours, for five people. The radar looked like it would possibly rain, but as Florida locals, we know that’s not always the case. The second we pulled up, the older blonde lady greeted us with an attitude acting like we didn’t have a reservation. She continued to make snarky remarks and have an attitude as we filled out the waivers, about our belongings, not buying their waterproof bags, etc. We ignored it and went to get our paddle boards with the younger man, he was awesome and informative. They mentioned as soon as it thundered we had to come inside immediately, we agreed and understood. An hour into our paddle boarding they start waving us in as it started a light drizzle, but there was no thunder or lightning. We are more than capable of being able to discern when there is danger, again, there was no thunder or lightning. We understand the rules, and we have no problem following them, but she spoke them with an attitude and made us come in when there were NO rules broken. She would not give us a full refund for the hour we lost, only $50, and started over compensating by apologizing over and over for her attitude. When we expressed our concern about losing our hour and having to come in when there was no thunder or lightning, she said “okay and? Don’t you want to be safe?” She clearly just wanted to go home as there was no other reservations. Bottom line, the attitude was unacceptable and it isn’t even about the money, it’s about how she spoke and acted towards us, especially when someone is spending $160 for fun, the person at the front desk needs to be put through further training. As Florida locals who love to paddle board, we will not be returning and will be deterring others from here as well.
