We did the Upper Dells and Lower Dells boat tours. Both very different. The Upper tour had 2 stops off the boat at the "Witches Gulch" and "Stand Rock". The Witches Gulch was like a slot canyon - carved out by water - very interesting. It's a good idea to read the story behind Stand Rock - very interesting as well. The Upper tour is 2 hours long and there are bathrooms at the 2 stops. The Lower Dells boat tour is 1 hour long and you don't exit the boat. There are no bathroom facilities on either boat. The Lower tour has more rock formations to look at - with interesting shapes and sizes. These sandstone formations have an interesting history. We enjoyed both tours, but would recommend the Upper tour if you only have time to do one of them.

Our tour was empty but the staff were enthusiastic regardless. It felt like a private tour and the scenery was beautiful. No need to make a reservation ahead of time. There's a coffee shop next to the entrance if you arrive early. If you stay at a hotel they may give you a promo booklet that you can use on this tour.

The Dells Boat Tours are a classic and quintessential Wisconsin Dells experience. We love it and have been many times. The Dells area of the river is amazing and very beautiful.
Dells Boat Tours experience is pro all the way. They have been doing this for years and have it down. From the embarkation to the tour guide's patter always top notch.
my only reservation, and it's not much, is the chairs are not made for large guys like me.
I recommend the Dells Boat Tours with confidence.

A speciality of Wisconsin Dells.
The tour is very informative with great staff. The scenic spots are very well curated. The tours are planned rain or shine as long as the water flows in the river.
Except the dog jumping part for the north river tour.

Seth and Doug were amazing! What a great 2hour tour and exploration of the witches gulch and standing rock! A must see.

We did the upper Dell’s tour where you visit the Witches Gulch and Standing Rock. Line was not long. We didn’t have a large group so seating on top was fine. Make sure you have a warm jacket for late fall/early winter. Tour guide was very informative. At the end of Witches Gulch, you can get a snack or drink at the concession stand.

The entire family really enjoyed the whole experience. First the ticket counter was super helpful advising us on which tour had what. Then gave us the 20% resort discount that we were unaware of. Honesty and ethics are such an enjoyable and rare thing these days. Boarding staff were equally kind. On the bot Coral and Ashley were simply awesome. Between the dad level jokes, wealth of historical and geological knowledge shared and expert piloting of the boat, it was just a 5 star experience. I plan to come back some time in the future to bring my parents to enjoy the experience as well.

The tour was wonderful and the two girls Vanessa and Riley, were so knowledgeable and engaging, the price was great for all that you got, it is a must see
