Updating now that my wedding travel is complete. Helen was absolutely AMAZING in helping me plan my wedding in the Dominican Republic from start to finish. She helped me find a resort that fit my dream and communicated with the resort for wedding coordination. She made sure my guests and I had all of the documentation that we needed and were of any special customs requirements. I cannot that her enough for helping me have my dream wedding with little to no stress planning. The day of my wedding I spent the morning in the pool having cocktails with my bridesmaids. The trip was relaxing. Just beware that the Amstar excursion personnel will try to push you into a time share to receive a discount for excursions: ATV, tequila tasting, sunset cruises, etc. The resort is :30 minutes from the city and you will either have to Uber or Taxi to get to the city to see the sights. The resort offered various activities such as water volleyball, water aerobics , archer, and cycling. The rooms were spacious with a nice view of the grounds, but with an upgrade you could have a pool side room. As our trip ended, we decided to sit on the timeshare seminar to receive passes to the sunset cruise that was offered. Pics attached.
